I am a wife to my husband and stay-at-home mom to four, make that five wonderful kids. We are involved in the Apex Community of house churches and home school the kids. After Dave retires from the military, we hope to settle down on a ranch somewhere and raise organic beef and chickens.

I'm not jealous of your weather anymore-probably won't be until about May! Enjoy it though. What a great thing for your kids to actually experience different climates.

Sorry, Cheryl, but it's kinda tough to sell the climate here as a great thing to experience. In the big picture, you're right. It is good for all of us to experience hard times. However, if you're thinkin' it's neat to be outside in this crap or to be trapped in the apartment because of it...wrongo! Thanks for being so positive. We miss you.

No, not really. After dismounting my negativity soap box I thought of some real positives about experiencing this climate:
1. 20-something hours of daylight in the summer!
2. Seeing real icebergs!
3. Aurora Borealis!
4. Whales!
5. Seeing real glaciers!
6. Waterfalls
7. Volcanoes
It is a neat place. Sorry if I sounded bitter.
